Bowline Hotel

The hotel offers two barrel saunas on the pier with views of the Columbia River and passing ships. Guests can use free bicycles to explore the waterfront and historic downtown Astoria. An outdoor fireplace and picnic area provide space to relax while watching sea lions on the rocks below.

Select rooms have private balconies overlooking the river or city, along with in-room fireplaces. The interiors use concrete floors and industrial design, with luxurious linens and robes provided for the sauna. Earplugs and a white noise machine are supplied in every room due to the active sea lion colony directly under the hotel.

The Knot, the on-site restaurant and bar, serves Northern Pacific flavors with options like rosemary duck and butternut squash tarte tatin. The bar offers cocktails and a wine list, and outdoor seating faces the river and the Astoria-Megler Bridge. Breakfast is available through room service or at the restaurant, but must be ordered in advance.

The hotel sits on a pier over the Columbia River, adjacent to the Riverfront Trolley line and a short walk to downtown shops and galleries. Fort Stevens State Park is 10 minutes away for hiking and beach access. Astoria's historic waterfront and the Columbia River Maritime Museum are within a 10-minute walk.

Dogs are allowed on the first floor in designated rooms, with a $50 pet fee per stay. Upon arrival, pets receive complimentary welcome treats. Guests must bring dogs directly to the room and cannot leave them unattended; the hotel does not have an on-site pet relief area.
